Children's Online Privacy Protection

Last updated: August 4, 2026

This policy describes how our classroom platform (the "Service") collects, uses, and protects information from students, including children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). By creating a student account, a parent or legal guardian provides verifiable consent to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

  • Student profile: full name, student ID, student email, class period, and school.
  • Parent/guardian contact: parent name, email, and phone — used only for school communications about the student.
  • Classroom data: attendance, assessment and assignment responses, grades, game/practice activity, badges, and poll votes.
  • Technical data: basic account identifiers needed to operate the Service.

How We Use Information

  • To record attendance, grade work, and share assignments with the student's class.
  • To let teachers and authorized staff support the student's learning and accommodations.
  • To notify parents/guardians about their child's progress or concerns.
  • We never sell student data or use it for targeted advertising.

Parental Consent & Verifiable Consent

Students under 13 may not create an account without verifiable parental consent. During account creation, a parent or legal guardian must check the consent box confirming they agree to this policy and to the collection of their child's information. Parents may withdraw consent at any time by contacting the student's teacher or school administrator, which will result in deletion of the child's data.

Your Rights & Data Control

  • Review: Parents may request a copy of their child's collected information.
  • Delete: Parents may request deletion of their child's account and data at any time.
  • Opt out: Parents may opt out of further collection while keeping existing data, or withdraw consent entirely.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact the student's teacher or school administrator.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

Student information is visible only to the student, their teachers, and authorized school staff. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Limited third-party tools (such as Google for document creation) are used only at a teacher's direction and only with the minimum data required to provide the educational feature.

Contact

Questions about this policy or your child's data can be directed to the student's teacher or the school administrator who manages this classroom platform.
